You wouldn't believe the difference a whisper ceiling fan can make. There are two kinds of people in this world: those who don't mind the noise coming from any electric device (like a ceiling fan); and those who can't stand it. In most cases, the whooshing sound produced by ceiling fans is not an issue. Most people don't even notice it unless the room is in complete silence.
